City of Meridian says YES!

November 15, 2018

After over a year of community meetings and feedback and resulting design changes, an 80 Acre master planned development - on the Southeast corner of Chinden Boulevard and Linder Road has been approved.

The approved mixed use site plan is for a community including a supermarket [Winco Foods], a retail main street anchored by a Meridian Library District public Library, various retail, office and commercial locations, and 20 acres dedicated to a residential community creating a natural transition between the retail districts and The Paramount subdivision bordering the south and east lengths of the the 80 acre site.

It was recommended for approval by Meridian Planning and Zoning on November 15th.

The development team received some pushback from local residents regarding the inclusion of a WinCo Foods in the plan. Despite the pushback, the majority of residents spoke in favor of the project. According to Councilwoman Anne Little Roberts, of the emails the City has received it was "10 to one in favor" of the project.
